Club institution in the middle of the Kiez
Concert stage and club legend: Docks has been one of the top clubs on St Pauli for years, the queue at the door is often long and the events are varied.
Whether it's a technoid marathon with "Gans oder Kranich" or the gay-themed party series "GayGay," there's plenty of room here for sprawling parties with up to 1,400 guests. Everyone is welcome at the uncomplicated music club Docks - and has been since 1988.
But it's not just the visitors who love Docks, the bands do too: for example, metal band Metallica dubbed Docks the "best damn club in the world" when they played there in 1997.
For more than 25 years now, the Docks has held its own on the Kiez and has already given many bands the opportunity to perform. Guests have included Bob Dylan, Placebo, David Bowie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Die Ärzte, Roxette, Blondie and Peter Maffay.
