Since August 2020, the Golden Arrow has been occupied by a collective that intends to make this historic place a non-commercial, cultural and solidarity living space in the service of the neighbourhood and social struggles.
The Golden Arrow is a cultural place which pays particular attention to initiatives carried out by people living in the neighbourhood and/or belonging to disadvantaged groups. The program is built collectively to host concerts, screenings, theatre, socio-cultural workshops, solidarity meals, bar, exhibitions, or any other project that we have not yet imagined.
These activities will be able to resume as soon as it is opened to the public made possible by the easing of health constraints. The Golden Arrow is a political place.
It is a breathing space for those who need it to build, make known or strengthen their struggles.
From programming to hospitality, we are committed to making it a place open to all, and committed to systemic oppressions between and outside its walls. We are looking to develop accessibility tools too in short, to accommodate all those who do not always find a place elsewhere.
Because our ways of organizing ourselves are also political, we want to build as collective, horizontal and participatory governance as possible.
The Golden Arrow is a place of solidarity rooted in the heart of a historically militant and supportive neighbourhood. We organize food and hygiene collections and distributions and open its kitchen twice a week to the animation of a popular canteen.
